Our Demerara Brown Sugar is made simply from the juice of organically grown sugar cane – pressed, steamed, then dehydrated to create large golden-brown crystals. No chemicals involved. he sugar cane is grown in a plantation with ‘biodiversity islands’ to promote native plants, birds and mammals. The green cane is spread over the fields to provide nutrients and prevent soil erosion instead of being burned.
