Description
Vintage Notes A very dry winter and spring, coupled with record heat and dry conditions throughout summer led to a condensed vintage. Yields were only slightly down on previous years despite the challenges associated with low rainfall in the growing season. January was Australia’s warmest on record. These conditions lent themselves to smaller berries with good concentration of flavour. Winemaking Notes The fruit was destemmed and crushed gently, then pumped over twice daily for 9 days. The ferment was kept cool to retain the bright primary fruit characters. Following ferment, the wine was pressed and transferred into seasoned French oak barrels (20% new) to mature for 18 months. Certified organic Shiraz from the alluvial clay over sandy loam soils.
OUR 2019 SHIRAZ FILLS YOUR MOUTH WITH RICH RED BERRY FLAVOURS AND PEPPERY UNDERTONES WHICH ARE AUGMENTED BY THE MATURATION IN SMALL FRENCH OAK. THE WINE IS JUICY, SOFT AND VELVETY, WITH A LONG SMOOTH FINISH.
